Our struggle against sin isn’t a story you will hear about on the nightly news, but it’s why Jesus came to this earth. Jesus is calling us to be different when it comes to our struggle against sin.

​ But how are we to be different? 

Like Einstein’s theory of relativity, the parable in this message can be hard to understand. And, it seems contrary to the character of Jesus to tell a story like this – praising what appears to be unethical behavior and an unscrupulous person.

As we will see, the main point of the parable concerns preparation... what are we doing to prep for our spiritual future?

It's true that Jesus felt compassion and took action, but we are not Jesus. We cannot heal the sick, make the lame to walk again, or feed 5,000 with a few happy meals. And we live in a very cynical culture where anger, disappointment, and betrayal make it even harder to be compassionate. But this series is about being different.
