After a 12-year career coaching college football, Pastor Dan Hanson sensed it was time to begin a new chapter in his life as a full-time pastor. He resigned from his role as Head Football Coach at Malone University in 2006 and accepted a supporting role at Canton Nazarene. In 2015, he was called to be the Lead Pastor. He has always maintained that to lead well you must know what it is to serve. 

Dan is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and holds two master's degrees in religion and teaching. His wife, Andee, serves as the Middle School Director at Canton Nazarene. They have two adult children, Mac and Marlee

Justin is not only a truly talented musician, but his life-long experience in church ministry equips him to oversee numerous tasks that help our ministries run smoothly on a weekly basis. With the support of his wife Angie and their 3 kids, Justin brings a sense of joy and family to Canton Nazarene. With many years of experience leading a worship team and partnering with tech teams, every Sunday has been special since he joined the staff in 2023.

There is no such thing as a boring conversation with Joe. He has spent his many years making the most of life, building relationships in the local community, becoming a business owner, loving and supporting his family, and always taking the time to learn something new.

Jimmy came to our church in December of 2017. He has spent the last 18 years ministering to youth and families and enjoys the challenges and mile markers that come with it. He has felt his call since he was a child and has been pursuing it since allowing God to lead him wherever he is needed. Jimmy holds a Bachelors in Religion from Trevecca Nazarene University and continues to pursue classes.

Jimmy grew up in Vienna, Ohio and married his high school sweetheart, Megan, and they have 3 growing children: Jude, Caden, and Kara.

Over the years, Andee has not only loved and supported her husband Dan as he leads our church community, but she has put her unique set of creative and administrative skills to work creating a safe, rewarding, life-giving space for the infants and children of our community.

Andee has an especially kind heart for little ones, visitors, and if they come around, animals.

For decades Rose has been committed to Canton Nazarene Church and our mission. Her late husband and children have all been a part of our church's vibrant history and have made our community a better place.

Rose has been a volunteer, staff spouse, Leadership Team member, and now serves in the church offices each week ensuring that things run smoothly. Have a question? Rose is your woman.

With volunteer experience working with theaters, performing arts camps, and multiple churches, Zach is equipped to oversee all of the production teams during our weekend worship services.

​

When he's not working at the church, Zach likes to spend time with his small groups doing Bible studies and having deep conversations.​ He also enjoys movies, music, and 20th-century pop culture memorabilia.

When he was in high school, Josh felt God calling him to a career of spiritual leadership, and he has been working to pursue it ever since. Josh works full time as a CAD drafter, but leads in our church through creating graphics and video and managing our website, mobile app, and social media accounts.

When he isn't in church, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife Hannah and their dogs or experiencing the great outdoors.
