WEEK 1

Conflict is all around us. It’s become the “air we breathe” in our society. Conflict affects our marriages, families, churches, workplaces, and neighborhoods. It wears us down. It affects Christians as much as anyone else; bringing us low, damaging our relationships, and hindering our witness in the world. But there is one great question to ask when we find ourselves offended. Is this worth fighting over?

WEEK 2

God wants peaceful, flourishing relationships with His people, and between His people. Most people want to live by a set of values like integrity, love, respect, appreciation, honesty, and truth. The problem we have is taking these “Sunday” values into the “Monday-Friday” week. The high road simply reminds us to seek to live out those values when it really matters – like in times of conflict.

In a conflict, our hearts tend to go right to blaming the other person, but God teaches us that we need to take a different approach. If reconciliation is ever to happen, we must do something that does not come naturally; we must focus first on our contribution to the conflict.
